Commanders Intent: Echo Company, CSM, 2nd Regiment will be conducting a two-day field training exercise: We will be training in day and night small unit patrolling, perimeter defense, and company level command and control. Additionally, we will be acting as Opposition Forces for Hammer Stryke Survival and their Escape and Evasion students. Following their exercise, the company will engage in infiltration, patrolling and escape and evade exercises at squad level.
Uniform Common to All: Multicam uniform top and bottom, sturdy boots, load bearing equipment to include water and IFAK, boonie hat with cat-eyes, helmet, rifle and sidearm (unloaded) and radio equipment. RON sustainment. Weapons, unloaded NO LIVE AMMO IN TRAINING AREA UNTIL INFORMED. Expect high temperatures, bring snivel gear for evening. Recruits: (Bring What You Have) For recruits, do not go on a buying spree, come out and see what equipment will work for you first.

Order of Works: All members will arrive at the training site no later than 0900 hrs. on Saturday, July 18th. First formation, colors and safety briefing will be at 0930 hrs. and company business will proceed. New recruits will be sequestered from the training site until completing the recruit and waiver packet and have received a safety briefing by the XO or NCOIC. There will be multiple training locations to include Fundamental Refresher training:1. Company Command/Control and Structure, 2. Uniform and Equipment, Type and Proper Wear. 3. Radio Operation (UV5RTP) and Use, 4. Medical IFAK and Safety Briefing, 5. Land Navigation Refresher, 6. Patrolling and Defense.
We will be setting up several defensive lines as OpFor to include standing guard posts, defensive line and active patrol. This is for the SERE students and our evening follow-on training.
We will have members from additional 2nd Regiment companies to include Charlie, Dog, Fox and Alpha Company. They will maintain their own chain of command and are welcome to our training classes yet our schedule does not preclude them from utilizing Camp Echo and our logistics for their own training purposes. The Range will be closed to all unless the Echo Company range safety cadre are present. Chow schedule will be per Echo SOP.
Note: Company fundamentals training is designed to provide training to small groups of militia members at intensities which suit each person’s skills, fitness and abilities. These exercises will promote fitness and proficiency in a broad range of areas. These include confidence in field medical procedures, proper use of communications, teamwork, mental endurance, muscular endurance, strength, flexibility, and speed. These classes will be designed to concentrate on cooperation, proficiency, control, safety, basic skills, common tasks, and a combination of the above. Your full participation will make the training an excellent addition to our unit’s total physical fitness, mental readiness and proficiency. At the same time, it can provide both fun and a challenge to a member’s physical and mental abilities.

Command and Control: Chain of Command will be CSM 2nd Reg. and Company SOP. Radio: Primary 462.725, Alternate 462.925. Near Challenge and Password are Green and Dragon or numbers adding to 9.
Service and Support: Bring IFAK, pogey bait chow, working radio, pistol/rifle ammunition, land navigation equipment…. Watch out for snakes. We will have water and an aid station available. Starting on 18th the Echo Mess Hall will be feeding Lunch, Dinner, 19th Breakfast, Lunch.
Notes:
If members can arrive sooner than first call or on the day prior, the training personnel could use you to transport gear and assist in setting up the training site.
1st Platoon will be out at the training site on the previous Friday and can use some help setting up.
Platoon Leaders, (Gipson, Eckstein) ensure that all of your members have received and understand the Operation Order. Give me or the 1Sgt a headcount.
